Deep tissue does not mean pain. Deep tissue massage is for reaching deeper layers of muscles. This can involve discomfort if you have adhesions or a build up of lactic acid. But a deep tissue massage does not have to hurt to be "deep" or effective. This deep tissue massage includes the glute and back work of the regular deep tissue but also gives some love to those neglected arms, legs, hands and feet!
